Upholstered headboard cleaning in Lviv

An upholstered headboard is the part of a bedroom people think about last. Hair and skin touch it every night, people lean back against it to read; hair products, face cream and perspiration leave marks that appear gradually and show best in daylight from the side.

Why a vertical surface changes the method

Solution cannot simply be applied and left: it runs down and dries as streaks along the whole height. So we work at minimum moisture, in small sections from top to bottom, extracting each section immediately. Buttoned upholstery is its own case — the hollows around the buttons hold the most dirt, and every one of them is worked individually.

Materials we handle

• Velour and velvet — the most common and the fussiest about pile direction.
• Hopsack and linen — a dense weave that cleans well.
• Faux leather — wiped with a solution rather than extracted.
• Bouclé and chenille — a delicate setting, so the loops are not pulled.

Why it is booked with the mattress

A headboard is rarely ordered on its own, and not because of the price: dust mites live in the mattress rather than the headboard, so cleaning one without the other makes little sense. The standard pairing is the headboard plus double mattress cleaning at UAH 1,100 — 1,799 together. Cleaning the mattress on both sides is UAH 1,799, which comes to 2,498 with the headboard.

What it costs with the mattress

The headboard is UAH 699. A single mattress on one side is 600, on both 999. A double on one side is 1,100, on both 1,799. The most common booking is the headboard plus a double mattress cleaned on both sides: UAH 2,498, which already clears the UAH 2,000 dry-cleaning minimum.

Care between cleanings

• Once a month go over the headboard with a soft vacuum attachment; that removes most of the dust.
• Blot a fresh mark from cream or hair product straight away — dried oil sinks into the fibre and comes out far less easily.
• Avoid scented wet wipes: they leave pale patches on velour.
• Air the bedroom daily; a dry room means a dry headboard.

How often

Once a year for an adult bedroom with no allergies. Twice if someone in the family has allergies, if a cat or dog sleeps on the bed, or if you read against the headboard every evening. The test is simple: wipe a pale cloth across the fabric where your head rests and compare it with a corner.

Time and minimum order

The work takes 30–40 minutes and the headboard dries in 4–6 hours, so the bed is usable the same night. The minimum dry-cleaning order is UAH 2,000, which a headboard alone does not reach; paired with a mattress it does.
