A window after building work costs UAH 450; an ordinary one is 320. The difference is that afterwards the glass and profile are not washed but cleared: film, tape, splashes of primer and paint come off by hand, and each of those has its own method.
Why it is removal, not washing
Protective film on the profile is held by an adhesive that polymerises in sunlight. After a year it comes away in pieces, each of which has to be lifted separately; the adhesive residue is dissolved with oil or WD-40 and dwell time, never with solvent — acetone eats PVC in seconds and leaves a matt patch.
Paint comes off glass with a blade on wet glass at 30 degrees. Dry, it means scratches nothing will remove: abrasive construction dust under the blade works like sandpaper.
The order of work
- Wash the dust off with plenty of water — before anything mechanical.
- Peel the film, warming it with a hairdryer if it has dried out.
- Dissolve the tape adhesive and lift it with a plastic spatula.
- Take the paint off with a blade on wet glass.
- Clear the drainage slots at the bottom of the profile — packed with filler they cause condensation inside the unit.
- Clean it as a normal window: glass, frame, sill.
What UAH 450 covers
Glass on the reachable sides, the frame, the seal, the sill and the drainage. Insect screens are separate; balcony glazing is counted by section.
When to call us
After all the dirty work is finished, including sanding the walls. Windows cleaned before sanding have to be done again from scratch — dust settles on wet glass in a dense layer.
What not to attempt yourself
Three mistakes after which the window cannot be saved. A scraper on dry glass — scratches from construction dust acting as sandpaper. Acetone or solvent on the profile — a matt patch on PVC within seconds. A wire brush on the seal — cut rubber, after which the window stops holding heat.
And one more: the silicone bead around the sealed unit is a structural element, not dirt. Lift it with a blade and you have a window that leaks.
How long it takes
One window after building work is 30–45 minutes instead of the usual 15–20. A flat with six windows is half a day, and it is better planned separately from the rest of the cleaning.

Add the windows in the post-renovation cleaning form — the item is already priced there at UAH 450. If you need only the windows without the cleaning, price them in the window cleaning form and note in the comment that it is after building work.
