Deep cleaning: how long it takes and what a cleaner gets done

What "deep" means in our price list

Clean Whale has no separate deep-cleaning tariff, and that is the first thing worth knowing. The price is built from rooms and bathrooms, not from how thorough the work is: a one-room flat is UAH 1,550, two rooms 1,950, three rooms 2,350. What makes a clean deep is not the tariff but the list of items you add to the base.

The difference between an ordinary visit and a deep one is the order of work. An ordinary clean moves horizontally: floors, surfaces, bathroom. A deep clean moves downward and inward: the tops of cupboards, light fittings, radiators, skirting boards, the floor under furniture, appliances on the inside.

What people add to the base

  • Kitchen appliances inside: oven UAH 499, extractor hood 350, fridge 450, microwave 250.
  • Kitchen cabinets inside — UAH 800.
  • Windows — UAH 320 each, including glass, frame and sill.
  • Walk-in wardrobe 299, a fitted closet 350.
  • Ironing — UAH 399 per hour.

A two-room flat with the full set of kitchen appliances comes to roughly UAH 4,300: the 1,950 base plus oven, hood, fridge and cabinets inside.

How long it takes

A one-room flat takes four to five hours for one cleaner. A two-room flat with appliances takes seven to eight, or about four if two people come. The price does not depend on how many cleaners arrive: an additional cleaner costs UAH 1,000 and shortens not the bill but the time your flat is occupied.

When a deep clean makes sense

Twice a year, in spring and autumn, alongside the seasonal change of clothes. Before guests arrive or before the holidays. After a long absence, when dust has settled in a layer. And before handing a rented flat back, if you want the deposit returned without an argument.

After renovation, though, what you need is not a deep clean but post-renovation cleaning — construction dust, mortar and film on window profiles are a different job, priced by area at UAH 150 per m² with a UAH 3,000 minimum.

What a deep clean does not include

The cleaner does not move heavy furniture or empty overhead storage — the work covers what is reachable. No chandeliers that have to be taken down, no work above step-ladder height, no removal of construction waste. If a cabinet can be pushed aside, say so at the start of the visit and the floor beneath it goes into the job.

Nor does it include work that looks like cleaning but is not: whitening a yellowed bath, stripping years of limescale from tiles, lifting stains that have gone into the surface. That is restoring a finish, and it is fairer to say where the line is before the visit.

What it costs for your flat

Build your flat in the order form and the price appears at once, before you pick a date. The full list of items is in the price list. Regular clients get 5, 10 or 15 % off depending on how often we come, and it applies from the first visit.

How long does a deep clean of a two-room flat take?

Seven to eight hours for one cleaner, or about four if two come. The price does not change with the number of people.

How is a deep clean different from an ordinary one?

In the order of work: it goes downward and inward — tops of cupboards, light fittings, radiators, appliances inside, the floor under furniture.

What does a deep clean of a two-room flat with appliances cost?

Around UAH 4,300: the 1,950 base plus oven, hood, fridge and kitchen cabinets inside.

Do you remove limescale from taps?

Fresh limescale, yes. Years of build-up and yellowed enamel are not restored by cleaning — that is a damaged surface rather than dirt.

Do I need to be at home during the clean?

No. The cleaner can collect the keys before the visit and return them afterwards; both are items in the order form.
