Window cleaning in a flat in Lviv

A window is counted as one unit, not by square metre: UAH 320 covers the glass on both reachable sides, the frame and the sill. The size of the window does not change the price, and neither does the number of sashes.

What UAH 320 covers

• glass inside and outside where the sash opens;
• the frame on both sides and the hardware;
• the sill and the seal;
• the drainage slots at the bottom of the profile — the reason condensation stops running afterwards.

Insect screens and balcony glazing are separate items: a screen is taken out and cleaned flat, and glazing is counted by section.

What we do not do

We do not clean windows from outside by climbing through the frame, and we do not work at height beyond a step ladder. This is not caution but the boundary of the service: rope access is separate work with a different qualification, and we do not offer it.

If a sash is fixed and its outer face cannot be reached from inside, we say so before the booking rather than after arriving.

How long it takes

A standard two-sash window is 15–20 minutes. An old wooden frame with two rows of sashes takes up to half an hour: it has more joints, and the frames are often dried out and need care.

For a flat with four windows allow an hour and a half to two hours including preparation.

When to clean

Twice a year: in spring after the heating season and in autumn before it. On a busy street three times — road dust with soot settles denser and turns into a film faster.

Not in sun and not in frost: in sunlight the solution dries before the squeegee reaches it, and in frost the water freezes on the glass. An overcast, still day is ideal.

Why streaks appear

A streak is not leftover product but a dried film of dirt that was spread rather than pulled off. So it is the order of work that decides, not the chemistry: frame and sill first, then the glass, and the squeegee is drawn top to bottom with overlap, wiped after every pass.

The second cause is the sun. On warm glass the solution dries before your hand reaches the bottom of the sash, and on a large window that shows immediately.

What we need from you

Clear the approach to the window: move plants, appliances and anything standing on the sill. Those five minutes are otherwise spent by the cleaner, and they are inside the time you pay for.
