Hallway and Entrance Cleaning in Lviv

The hallway is where all the street dirt enters the flat. It is the smallest area and the fastest to soil, which is why a regular clean gives it more attention than the rooms.

What the clean covers

• the floor, including under the mat and behind the door;
• the door, handle, frame and architraves;
• switches, the intercom panel, the mirror;
• the shoe rack outside, the console table, the coat rack;
• skirting and the corners where shoe dust collects.

Winter is its own story

From December to March a mix of salt, sand and de-icer arrives in the hallway. It leaves white streaks that ordinary mopping does not remove: the salt dissolves, dries and shows through again. A weak vinegar solution takes it off, and it should be done promptly — salt attacks lacquer and tile grout alike.

The cheapest way to cut the work is a barrier mat at the door: most of the de-icer stops there.

Shoes and the rack

The shoe rack is cleaned on the outside: surfaces and the floor beneath it. We do not sort or clean the shoes themselves — that is the owner's decision, not cleaning.

Mirrors and glass

The hallway mirror is usually large and shows every streak. It is cleaned last, after the dust from the shelves: otherwise the dust you lift settles on glass you have just finished.

Sliding wardrobe

Outside: doors, handles, mirrored panels and the bottom runners, where dust and hair collect. Inside is a separate item — cupboards inside are UAH 800 and are booked once everything has actually been taken out.

Ceiling and light fitting

In a narrow hallway the light fitting collects dust faster than in a room: warm air carries it up and there is almost no ventilation. The shade is not part of a base clean — it needs a step ladder (UAH 599) — but it is worth booking separately twice a year, otherwise the hallway light dims so gradually that nobody notices.

The stairwell and the threshold

We clean inside the flat. The landing, the threshold outside and the mat in front of the door belong to the building manager. One exception: the mat can be shaken out if you ask when booking.

How long it takes

The hallway of a two-room flat is 10–15 minutes within the visit. Longer in winter: the de-icer streaks need a pass of their own.

How often

This is the area where regularity matters more than thoroughness. Weekly for the floor and handles, monthly for doors, skirting and wardrobe runners. On that schedule a deep clean of the hallway is never needed.
