The bathroom is the slowest room in a flat per square metre. The floor area is small but the surfaces are many: tiles, grout, sanitary ware, mirror, taps, the shower curtain or screen, the ventilation grille and the floor under the bath.
The washing machine inside (drum, drawer, filter), cupboards inside, the bathroom window and grout across the whole wall are separate items. We name them before the visit rather than adding them to the bill afterwards.
The water in Lviv is moderately hard, but in buildings with old pipes deposit appears faster — iron joins the lime. Fresh scale comes off with an acidic product and fifteen minutes of dwell time; years of build-up needs several passes, and it is fairer to say so in advance.
Grout responds well to a steam cleaner — a separate item at UAH 299. It lifts deposit and surface mould without chlorine, which makes it the better option in a bathroom used by children.
Shower glass always carries two layers at once: soap film on top and limescale underneath. They are removed in order — detergent first, then the acidic product. One product «for everything» does not work here: acid cannot reach the scale through soap, and detergent does nothing to the salts.
Scratched glass is a separate case: deposit sits in the micro-scratches and no chemical removes it. We say so on site rather than after three attempts.
Within a flat clean the bathroom is already in the base price: a one-room flat is UAH 1,550, a two-room 1,950. A second bathroom is a separate item. On its own the bathroom is UAH 450, though sending a cleaner out for one room rarely makes sense.
We do not replace silicone, clear blocked pipes or remove mould from behind the tiles. Surface mould we take off, but if it returns every month the cause is ventilation or damp — that is not cleaning, and we say so plainly.
The bathroom is part of a flat clean. The full base list is on the what a clean includes page; prices are in the prices section.
