Post-renovation cleaning in the Shevchenkivskyi district

Shevchenkivskyi is where most of Lviv is being built: Zboishcha, Holosko, Riasne. Most bookings here are the first clean of a flat just handed over by the developer rather than the regular cleaning of a lived-in home.

What it costs

The price is by area: UAH 150 per square metre, minimum order 3,000. A 45 m² flat is UAH 6,750, a 65 m² flat 9,750, a 90 m² flat 13,500.

A window after building work is UAH 450 instead of the usual 320: the protective film, tape and mortar marks come off first, the last of them with a blade. The oven (UAH 499), extractor hood (350), fridge (450) and cupboards inside (800) are separate items.

What the cleaner does

Removes construction dust from every surface: the tops of cupboards, radiators, reveals, skirting, door frames and light fittings. Cleans off adhesive, expanding foam, filler and paint from floors, tiles, glass and sanitary ware — where a cloth will not do it, with a blade.

The floor is done in three or four passes with the water changed: after building work the dust rises again and again, and one pass settles nothing.

New builds in Zboishcha and Holosko

In an unfinished flat the hard part is the glazing and the film on the window profiles: it comes off sash by sash, and mortar is scraped away before the glass is cleaned. The second is fitted cupboards, which hold fine sawdust after installation.

If the building is still on a temporary supply, say so in advance: a powerful vacuum trips the breaker, and the cleaner will plan around the available power. The same goes for water — without it, cleaning after building work makes no sense.

Older housing in Zamarstyniv and Kleparic

Here the work is more often cosmetic: new wallpaper, new doors, a refreshed bathroom. There is less dust, but old wooden windows with two rows of sashes and parquet that must not be flooded take more attention.

For cosmetic work in a small flat a deep clean priced by rooms is sometimes cheaper than cleaning by area — we say so before the booking when we can see it works out that way.

How many visits

Usually two: a rough clean as soon as the crew leaves and a final one before the furniture arrives. At least a day has to pass between them — dust settles for twenty-four hours, and a second visit without that pause is pointless.

What we do not do

We do not remove building waste: bags of leftover material are the contractor's job. We do not clean windows from outside the frame and do not work at height beyond a step ladder.
